The world’s bestselling sports car is reborn
2024 is the 60th anniversary of our Ford Mustang, an American icon, and the world’s bestselling sports car for the last ten years. 1
What better way
to celebrate than with the introduction of a brand-new Mustang? 2
A new, razor-sharp design, enhanced performance from its upgraded V8 engine, and a fully digital cockpit using cutting-edge Unreal Engine computer game technology blends decades of Mustang heritage with modern technology.
Available as a coupe or convertible, new Mustang is unmistakably a muscle car. A sculptured bonnet and powerful rear haunches are classic design cues, while the signature three-bar taillamps use LEDs for a contemporary touch.
Inside, our new Mustang combines a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel with a 13.2-inch central screen to give a jet plane cockpit feel. It’s customisable too, with a choice of colours and displays, and the Unreal Engine gaming software creates interactive, animated graphics that can be controlled by touching or swiping.
The central display also features our latest-generation SYNC 4 3 infotainment, which offers twice the computing power of the previous system. It integrates wirelessly with smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4 and offers 5G connectivity for fast data transfer.
Powering our new Mustang is a new generation 5.0-litre V8 engine with a new air intake system for increased performance and better response. Up to six Drive Modes 5 give the driver the freedom to tailor Mustang’s responses to suit the conditions, and there’s an Active Exhaust System so you can change the engine sound and volume for neighbour-friendly quiet or the freedom of the open road.
New Mustang also features a Performance Package as standard to harness the power. 19-inch alloy wheels, high-spec Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential put the driver in charge and give consistent performance.
Crowning the new Mustang range is Mustang Dark Horse – the foundation for Mustang-based motorsport programmes that will compete on six of seven continents around the world this year.
Ready for the road and the track, Mustang Dark Horse is has unique design elements for a more aggressive look as well as enhanced roadholding, like the race car-inspired fixed rear wing and rear diffuser for better aerodynamic performance.
It also features a high-output version of the new 5.0-litre V8 engine, enhanced suspension for precise control, improved cooling for on-track endurance and extra grippy Pirelli tyres.
“New Mustang is everything that our customers expect from an undisputed automotive icon – and then some. Surprising, connected technology really complements and elevates performance enhancements that will win the hearts of a whole new generation of drivers.”
